No, not of the seven-per-cent solution kind, but a new entry in the Howard Ostrom Collection T.V. Section. In the hit T.V. comedy "Parks and Recreation" episode "Meet 'n' Greet", October 27, 2011, Rob Lowe, as Chris Traeger, dresses as Sherlock Holmes for a Halloween party. Alec Baldwin (1958 - ) and Brian McCue (1963 - ) played Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson in "A Study in Scarlet", presented by the Williamstown Theatre Festival. Williamstown, Mass., August 12-23, 1987. Baldwin, best known today as the Emmy Award winning actor/comedian of the NBC hit sitcom "30 Rock", was a near 29 years old when he played the great detective. A free offering back in 1987, "A Study in Scarlet" featured a relatively unknown Alec Baldwin as Holmes and a pre-"Wings" Tim Daly as Jefferson Hope. Lawson, Steve. A Study in Scarlet. Presented by the Williamstown Theatre Festival. Williamstown, Mass.: Buxton School, August 12-23, 1987. The show was Directed by Kevin Kelley and also featured Timothy Daly (Jefferson Hope), Jennifer Van Dyck (Lucy), Dion Anderson (Ferrier) and Joe Eastbourn (Brigham Young).

William "Will" Emerson Arnett (1970 - ) born in Toronto, Canada, is an actor known for his many comedic roles as George Oscar "G.O.B. " Bluth II in the Fox series Arrested Development, Devon Banks in the NBC series 30 Rock, Brent Wilts in the IFC series "The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret" In the episode "The Crime Scene, the Storyteller and the Sanctimonious Tower of Morality", from 'The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret', as Brent Wilts, Arnett wears a deerstalker with a magnifying glass and refers to Spike Jonze as Watson. (Feb. 3, 2012) Spike Jonze (nee Adam Spiegel) (1969 - ) is an American director, producer, screenwriter and actor, whose work includes music videos, commercials, film and television. John Winston Lennon, MBE, (1940 - 1980) was an English musician, singer and songwriter who rose to worldwide fame as a founder member of the rock band the Beatles. He also obviously was a Sherlockian, as attested to by his photos in a deerstalker, and his short story "The Singularge Experience of Miss Anne Duffield", a parody of Sherlock Holmes. Peter Donat (1928 - ) born in Kentville, Nova Scotia, Canada appeared as Sherlock Holmes on stage in "The Crucifer of Blood", with Daniel Davis as Dr. John H. Watson, for 26 performances at American Conservatory Theatre, San Francisco, in 1980. Donat also co-wrote, "Sherlock Holmes and the Shakespeare Solution", with Barney Gould. He would appear in "Sherlock Holmes and the Shakespeare Solution", with Al Blair as Dr. Watson, for 8 performances at the Sunnyvale Summer Rep/ California Theatre Center, in 1989.
Daniel Davis (1945 - ) who appeared on stage in 1980 as Dr. Watson in the play “Crucifer of Blood”, with Peter Donat as Holmes, is better remembered by Sherlockians for his sterling holodeck performances as Moriarty in “Star Trek the Next Generation”, with Brent Spiner (Data) as Sherlock Holmes and Levar Burton (Geordi) as Dr. Watson, in the episodes ‘Elementary, My Dear Data’ (1988) and ‘Ship in a Bottle' (1993).
